Fellow Creators, let’s prepare our hearts for some thoughts on the high and holy calling of artistry. Listen to Mark Lowry’s singing of his creation, “Mary, Did You Know?”. 

This song is so poignant, and so real, it draws one right to the throne of God, worshiping Him for this indescribable gift of His son. God in human flesh. God come down to accomplish salvation for mankind.

Did you know that Jesus came to pick you up out of the emptiness of living for oneself to restore you to a right relationship with God and the joy of living for Him?

Did you know that you were created in Creator God’s image, so that you are wired to create! You begin with ideas, meditate on them until they take form, and you are energized to make them.

Did you know that you are God’s workmanship, “created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them”?

Did you know that once you believe in Christ that He dwells in you and wants you to grow up into His stature, you in Him, and He in you; He wants you to experience his fulness, His energy, His power, His new creation and enlightenment.

“But, as it is written, ‘What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him’--these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.” (I Corinthians 2:9-10)

You are an artist.  You communicate through beautiful buildings, moving music, powerful paintings, dynamic words, fluid dance, compelling plans! Did you know that God wants you to experience His resurrection power? He wants to expand your horizons, and use you to His honor and glory to accomplish exponentially more than you could without Him.
