Author Ruth Harbour
MISSIONARY, TEACHER, and SPEAKER

“And this is life eternal, knowing you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”
~ John 17:3

Ruth Harbour’s heart is full of a good theme—the love of God and His full redemption. Hence, Redemptive Writing was born! After spending over forty years in Taiwan as a missionary, she now feels a renewed urgency to help people be ready for the soon return of the Lord Jesus Christ—because He promised, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and I will take you to myself…” (John 14:3).

“There is an event so big that missing it would be tragic—that is the soon coming of our Lord Jesus Christ! Yes, He is coming again. Are you ready?”

A missionary wife, mother, and grandmother, Ruth is passionate about the Bible—especially eschatology, spiritual formation, and missions. Her mission is to communicate—through writing, song, and speaking—the joy of knowing God. Join her as she promotes her first novel, TILL THE RAPTURE DO US PART, and writes the next focusing on life under the earthly reign of Christ and his Saints. Explore her site where she shares insights, resources, and encouragement for your walk of faith. We are community in Christ—welcome to Ruth’s website!

Reading Clearly Christian Books and Growing to Know God

Habakkuk 2:2 says, “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that reads it.” (KJV) To my shame I confess that I was not an avid reader until I became a published author. But now I am always picking up books to read and review. I find it very enjoyable and fulfilling. The books one reads energize, if they are healthy, Christ-centered books. So look what I’ve found—the Clearly Christian Readathon. I just joined, and I hope you...read more

Are You Ready for What's Coming?

Recently I watched CBN’s Billy Holloway’s interview with Anne Graham Lotz introducing her new book about Revelation--“The Vision of His Glory.” There she said, “There will be an end to human history as we know it.” Friends, if you know Jesus this statement brings peace and rejoicing even as the world spirals violently out of control. Charlie Kirk’s death attests to this, as thousands have found peace with God because of Charlie’s tragic passing. A new day is coming! So how...read more

The Plague of Darkness

Izzy and Marty saw three spirits like slimy green frogs come out of the gross mouths of the unholy trinity—The Beast, his image, and The Prophet. They went to every nation whispering lies to leaders and those with influence. To some they gave power to duplicate the plagues of Moses saying, “This is what awaits us if we let Jesus and the Jews get by with the plot to rule the world! Nations of the world arise! Let us stop them once and for all time.”     From the Prayer Room in Heaven Izzy...read more

Dreaming About That Day

DREAMING ABOUT THAT DAY It was a surreal day, a day like no other, a day when the sun refused to shine, and dusk hugged the earth like a heavy blanket. The earth shook violently. Buildings crumbled. Mountains split and landslides brought their forests, palatial homes and boulders careening down and rushing forward engulfing surrounding towns. In the twilight, an enormous blood moon rose above the horizon, glaring at stragglers on the street. For those with the mark of the beast it was a chilling moment. They...read more

So Painful You'll Want to Die, But Death Flees Away!

I sat in the dentist’s chair, hands hugging my purse, trying to relax. But it’s kind of hard to do when the pick is scraping away below the gums, ruthlessly and systematically digging at every surface hiding below flesh. The whirring and screaming of the equipment in my ears sent my mind searching for any distraction to my pain.  The scorpion locusts of Revelation Nine came to mind. These are one of the woes never before known to man which will inflict excruciating pain which will last for...read more
